This page is designed to assist in learning British Sign Language (BSL) fingerspelling. There are very few sites on the web which provide clear photographs of the BSL alphabet. There are some good ones, but they often comprise line drawings which have the advantage of being clearer, but the disadvantage of being less natural.
There are two main sections here. One shows the BSL alphabet from the perspective of the person producing the signs - the perspective most often given on fingerspelling cards or websites. This is the Expressive Fingerspelling section. The other is from the perspective of somebody observing the signs being produced, which is more useful for improving receptive skills. This is the Receptive Fingerspelling section.
